CV

I’m a partner at Maven, a graphic design agency. Maven specialise in branding, digital design and design for print, we solve creative problems. Our clients range from charities and non-profits to software companies and property developers.
I lead on creative and digital design, collaborating with my co-founding partner, freelancers and external suppliers. At Maven I have steered and developed the creative digital design work. I attended Build (week long design conference) annually and am passionate about keeping up with trends and tools in digital and design. I have also run web design workshops in our co-work office space.
As a business owner I work closely with my clients and am adept to working on the many facets of a design brief. I take pride in working with a variety of stakeholders and delivering work that works.
Incept
2000–2008
I joined Incept as a partner in January 2000. We worked with clients including Frank PR and Premierbet.
The work included branding, visual, digital and design for print. I was responsible for running projects from start to finish. One of our stand out briefs was for Nickelodeon. We designed a competition leaflet where the winner would be a cartoon character and be featured in one of Nickelodeon’s cartoon shows.
Clinton Smith Design Consultants
1996–1999
After completing my university work placement I joined as a junior designer working under the senior designers and business owner Roger Clinton-Smith. This is where I cut my teeth as a designer learning how to generate ideas and turn them into graphics. I also learnt how to set up artwork for print and the differences between print and digital design. In those days we used Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Macromedia Freehand.
Middlesex University
1993–1996
I have a BA hons in Design & Technology (2:1) from Middlesex University.
I really enjoyed university as the course covered many subjects ranging from designing with electronics to design processes. The highlight for me was building a chair out of VW Beetle parts.
